The Event
Banked along the Petaluma River and set in the backyard of Petaluma pioneers to the slow-food movement, Central Market, we will hunker down and live it up. Join us as we tap into all things earth and art, Petaluma-style. Introduce yourself to the roots of what makes Petaluma a town like no other.

Eat a little. Drink a little. Dance a little. Play a little. But most importantly, learn a little about what makes Petaluma a distinct place all its own. Experience the food, the music, and the art that sets us apart. And shake hands with the kind, passionate folks behind the magic.

Green String farming is the synergistic relationship between our needs as humans and the needs of the land.
The concept of balance is key. In addition to taking fruit and natural resources from the land, we give them back to the land, creating a self-nourishing system.

www.greenstringfarm.com

How Do You Grow Green String?
We use natural resources including:
• organic cover crops consisting of:
- grains such as barley and oats
- nitrogen fixing plants like bell-beans to soften the soil bed
• compost teas, brewed specifically to provide diverse leaf structure and limit insect problems, comprising:
- molasses
- fish emulsion
- rock dust
- microbes
- other nutrients
• crushed volcanic rock and oyster shell to provide mineral nutrition
• sheep grazing to remove most weeds in the fields
• natural mined sulfur to control mildew
