The Event
Banked along the Petaluma River and set in the backyard of Petaluma pioneers to the slow-food movement, Central Market, we will hunker down and live it up. Join us as we tap into all things earth and art, Petaluma-style. Introduce yourself to the roots of what makes Petaluma a town like no other.

Eat a little. Drink a little. Dance a little. Play a little. But most importantly, learn a little about what makes Petaluma a distinct place all its own. Experience the food, the music, and the art that sets us apart. And shake hands with the kind, passionate folks behind the magic.

One hundred percent of Heritage Salvage’s wood products are sourced from windfalls or existing structures: chicken shacks, barns, houses, tanks and other structures that were either in danger, abandoned or no longer being used. 75% of Heritage Salvage wood is old growth redwood. The wood will be graded, resold or used as is with its natural patina by Heritage Salvage for remodeling, building, custom-trim, furniture, landscaping, garden sheds and all that we have not thought of yet! Our mission includes “salvaging the heritage” of the structures we re-purpose. By photographing the old structure and researching the history we preserve some heritage of the building.

Jess has always been in love with and inspired by beautiful textiles. She began making dolls for her daughter 9 years ago using old cashmere sweaters and antique remnants. As Stella’s love for these rag dolls grew, Jess’ passion for making them followed. As committed flea market goers, they would search together for amazing antique pieces, trims, buttons and findings. This has now all come together as a small line of one of a kind and hand made rag dolls. Each doll is hand dyed in persian black tea to create purposeful variations in skin tones. They are all made of cotton muslin and primarily recycled and antique fabrics and findings.
There is something truly beautiful about a threadbare, worn, and well loved doll that has been created with the finest materials.Jess lives in Petaluma, California with her children Stella and Tiger and her husband Erio. She owns a small shop in town called maude with her good friend Stacy.
